Research Assistant

As a Research Assistant you will provide support to the Medical and Algorithms team in the day-to-day tasks involved in preparation, planning, and execution of protocols for data collection.

This includes:
Participating in initiatives for improving quality, utilization, efficiency, and resourcing in regards to data collection.
Performing operational tasks associated with the conduct and coordination of internal data collection including reviewing protocols, data income, and data management.
Providing insights and guidance on how to collect data and what tools are best to use for specific protocols.  
Evaluating and developing improvements to data collection methods with the goal of increasing production efficiency and user adoption.
Organizing and tracking internal and external data collecting initiative while ensuring data consistency; Ie; data collected is homogenous, specific to protocol under test.
Recruiting of participants for internal and external trials while making data collection a unique experience for participants.
Coordinating and communicating clear project requirements, documentation, and status updates.

Requirements:
Candidates for the Research Assistant position should have a BS/BA degree in a scientific/engineering related field and experience working in a scientific lab. Experience with unix scripting and lab tools such as oscilloscopes and voltage meters.

Passionate about improving people's health with the help of technology.
Willing and able to approach strangers in an effort to recruit test subjects.
Willing and able to be on your feet and active for extended periods of time.
Polished interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Enjoys searching for minute details through careful observation.
Motivated by development of both interpersonal skills and logic processing.
Able to concentrate and focus in a sometimes chaotic environment.
Able to embrace change and not get rattled by changing priorities.
